About Me

My name is Tara Zulfikar and I am an Indonesian filmmaker and a recent graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television. My primary roles are as a director and producer, but I also contribute as a director of photography and first assistant camera. My experience across various departments has provided me with a holistic understanding of the filmmaking process, from preproduction to distribution.

I recently worked as a Production Office Assistant for an upcoming Netflix Original Series where I managed tasks such as onboarding crew, creating distro as well as helped keep track of production expenditure. I also completed an internship at ÆVision, a female-led production company. There, I honed my skills in creating pitch decks and gained valuable experience working with major companies such as Michaels and Cosmc's.

My work has been recognized with several accolades, including a jury nomination at NFFTY (National Film Festival for Talented Youth) and awards at the Independent Shorts Awards and Fusion Film Festival.
